My house is filled with things I have made, or am in the process of making. Jars of preserves line the shelves, my first quilt is on the guest bed, pairs of knitted socks and mittens, and the odd stray toque are piled in the closet and chances are you’ll be greeted by the warm aroma of fresh-baked bread or an apple-pie cooling on the window sill. “I can’t believe you made that!”, guests exclaim. Or, wistfully, “I always wanted to learn how to … sew/bake/can/knit…”.

And so Heidi’s Home Ec was born. Abandon all visions of the muffin-mix and boxer shorts of grade 7. Think home ec for the modern hip-homemaker.

I offer classes on all things delightfully domestic – in the cozy comfort of my home. Come on in, grab a cup of coffee and a fresh-baked scone and learn all the things you wish your grandma taught you. And best of all, you don’t have to come prepared – I supply everything you need to realize your domestic dreams.
